A hardware-mixer-first take on the capture card — unlike devices that bury audio balance behind directional buttons, the MainStream gives dedicated physical knobs for mic level, PC return, HDMI (game) audio, and headphone monitoring separately, backed by a clean 60dB-gain preamp with +48V phantom power. Two USB-C input ports also let it aggregate a USB webcam or USB mic into the single USB 3.1 Gen2 uplink to the host.
