A hybrid-era Hauppauge box that drops discrete analog output jacks entirely — instead of a true analog loop-through, it converts the incoming component/composite signal internally and pushes it back out exclusively as HDMI. The community warns this HDMI conversion stage chokes on genuine 240p from NES/SNES/Genesis (a non-standard signal it can't recognize), causing sync failures or a total loss of passthrough video unless a line doubler like a RetroTink pre-processes the signal to legitimate 480p first.
