Confirmed with

  • Notebook (generic)

The 120Hz mode is exclusive to one specific HDMI port and requires the host to support DisplayPort Alt Mode with Display Stream Compression (DSC) — without it, resolution/refresh falls back sharply. macOS lacks Multi-Stream Transport support, so triple-display setups mirror in an A+B+B pattern instead of extending.

  • Legion Go

A Legion Go user reports intermittent audio cutouts every few seconds when driving a display at 4K@120Hz through this dock's DSC-dependent HDMI port — switching the display to 4K@60Hz resolved the issue completely.
