A dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC array with a fully balanced signal path, offering both a 3.5mm single-ended jack and a 4.4mm balanced output rated near 4Vrms / 130mW at 32Ω — enough to drive demanding planar and dynamic headphones. Its companion Moondrop Link app suffers a chronic "Status 400" upload error on Android that blocks importing PEQ profiles, tethering configuration to a desktop browser.

Confirmed used with a MacBook in a real desk setup photo, and separately reported failing on laptop/desktop/phone alike in one unit (recognized by the OS, LED lights up, but no audio output — a hardware defect, not a compatibility issue). The bundled "Moondrop Link" software is widely reported as buggy, and the vented top case exposes internals to liquid/moisture damage.
