USB-C chargers confirmed for handhelds and laptops

Chargers are structurally off the table for PS5 and Xbox Series — both consoles run on their own internal power supply through an IEC cable, not USB-C, so "confirming" a GaN charger against either one doesn't apply. That leaves this catalog closer to an even split than any other category: 23 confirmed for Steam Deck and 14 for ROG Ally, against 29 for notebooks — the tightest handheld-to-notebook ratio here, because a compact GaN charger is exactly the accessory handheld battery life makes people go looking for.

A charger's rated wattage isn't always what actually reaches the device once a dock sits in between. A user reports the Baseus GaN3 Pro (100W, CCGP000101) delivering only about 30W to a ROG Ally through a JSAUX 6-in-1 dock — not enough for Armoury Crate's Turbo power profile — with the dock's own negotiation flagged as the likely bottleneck rather than the charger itself.

The same pattern shows up with the UGREEN Nexode 100W (CD226): a user reports insufficient power reaching a Steam Deck through a dock even with this charger connected, again pointing at dock-side power negotiation rather than the charger.

When it does work cleanly, the fit is real: "I use a Satechi 165W 4-port charger. That charges my (non-gaming) laptop, Steam Deck, ROG Ally... Even works with my Legion Go S" — though the same product has separate reports of a load-balancing bug when multiple high-power devices draw from it at once.
